Anjappar Chettinadu Military Hotel commenced operations
in Royapettah High Road, Chennai, South India in the year
1965. The word Chettinadu Hotel was coined by its founder
Mr Anjappar. Thus Anjappar Hotel became the pioneer in
"Chettinadu food".
Mr. Anjappar, the founder of this restaurant, hailed from
the famous Chettinad area. He introduced to the Hotel
Industry, the exclusive taste of Chettinad varieties,
which attracted taste hunters. The concept of outdoor
catering too was launched then.
Many franchises were opened and are running successfully
in Chennai (Madras) city of southern India. The Anjappar
